Not sure if this is where this goes, but I'm going to get to it! So had a suggestion of something you could do with the grinder You could either make it so you have to place the stone grinder on the ground but before you do that you have to make a base for it out of 4 iron ingots and 3 wooden planks and a stick. This recipe makes a baseplate, a central shaft for it to spin on, and arms to hold the shaft. I made a model of the grinder already so you can see what it would look like! techne.zeux.me/5ea8095e#

This is the correct place for that, and that is not a bad idea... I can't see your model though. The sight had trouble loading, then when it did load, it showed no sign of the grinder model. If you would like, you can try to upload it as an attachment on a post here, or send it to me directly by some other means, just contact me, and we'll work something out.

What would the intended recipe for this new world-block be? Would it have to be powered? What would the crafting interface be like? For grinding obsidian you also need to have magic powder, so could it have a storage slot for such an occasion, and be coded to know when it needs it, or would it just have the 3x3 with the recipe changed to powder-obsidian-powder? It would be nice to have this be a world block with an independent interface, because then it would merge much smoother into logistics pipes. They have an issue dealing with crafting recipes including non-consumable items :S as such I've had to keep a connected chest stocked with 30+ grindstones at any given time.....

As of right now, I don't have any plans to add this block in. If I do, I would probably make multiple versions, one that can grind normally, and another stronger one that can grind everything, including obsidian.
